Spinal herniation in children

Spinal herniation in children

In recent years, many children have developed symptoms of spinal herniation. Parents do not understand why such young children have spinal herniation. In fact, in addition to congenital deficiencies, many of them are caused by long-term lifestyle habits, such as incorrect sleeping posture for a long time, or not paying attention to spinal protection when exercising, and secondly, lack of physical exercise, all of which may cause spinal herniation in the later stage.

Since the spine in children is not fully developed, the structure is very unstable. Children's activeness often causes a part of the spine to shift, which is often difficult to detect due to its toughness. Symptoms will begin to show when children reach around 15 years old, and after they reach 25 years old, they will have long-term problems in their lives and studies. This shows that children's spinal health cannot be ignored.

There are six main reasons for spinal subluxation:

1. Inappropriate exercise during the growth process, including excessive jumping, can cause damage to the spine.

2. Congenital deficiencies, such as premature birth and abnormal spinal development, cause children to have poor physical constitution and slow bone development.

3. After trauma, the force structure of the spine changes significantly, leading to abnormal development of the spine.

4. Damage caused to the baby's young spine by the mother during the delivery process, such as excessive rotation and traction.

5. Lack of physical exercise causes the muscles and ligaments attached to both sides of the spine to be weak, resulting in poor stability of the spine.

6. Long-term incorrect sleeping, sitting and standing postures can cause scoliosis and pelvic distortion.

Due to the bearing capacity and flexibility of children's spine, children will not feel any adverse feelings for the time being. Although there is no permanent damage, when it is discovered years or even decades later, it has already entered the first stage of degeneration. So parents should pay enough attention to it.
