How to deal with facial abrasions in children

If a child has a serious facial abrasion, he or she needs to go to the hospital for treatment in time, but if it is not particularly serious, the parents can handle it themselves. When a child gets an abrasion, parents should disinfect, apply medicine and bandage the wound in a certain way. In addition, in order to relieve the symptoms of the wound and make the scar heal as soon as possible, you can also use the following folk remedies.

Ginger rubbing

Gently rubbing the scar with sliced ginger can inhibit the further growth of granulation tissue.

Recommendation: Slice fresh ginger, gently rub the scar with the ginger slices, then apply the ginger slices to the scar area for a while, then remove and replace it with a new piece, repeat two or three times. You can do this once or twice a day and keep doing it to remove the scars.

Apply vitamin E

Vitamin E can penetrate into the skin to play its moisturizing effect. At the same time, vitamin E can also maintain skin elasticity.

Recommendation: Poke a hole in the vitamin E capsule with a needle, apply the liquid inside on the scar and gently massage for 5-10 minutes, twice a day. Better results will be seen if you persist.

Apply vitamin C

Vitamin C has a whitening effect. Apply vitamin C to darker scars to whiten them and make them consistent with the tone of the surrounding healthy skin.

Recommendation: Apply vitamin C on the scar, so that the cells in the scar can absorb vitamin C, which can reduce the pigmentation of the scar and promote the whitening of the skin at the scar location.

Apply lavender essential oil

The effect of lavender essential oil in lightening scars is also widely recognized. However, lavender essential oil is not very effective for new scars and scars that are more than 8 years old. It is more effective for scars that are one to two years old.

Recommendation: Always be careful when using essential oils. When applying essential oils to scars, be sure not to affect the skin without scars.

Tetanus injection

If the abrasion is too large, the wound is stained with sand or dirt that cannot be cleaned off by yourself, or the injured area is swollen, severely painful, the surrounding body tissue is broken, bleeding does not stop, or the injured area is important (such as the face), it is recommended to take the child to see a doctor.

Recommendation: For large and deep wounds, the baby should be taken to the surgery department in time for local debridement and tetanus injection.
