The baby suddenly twitched

Babies are given great attention by their parents because they are too young, have no independent consciousness, and cannot accurately express the condition of their bodies. Therefore, once any problems occur in the baby's body, parents will be seriously worried. Some babies often twitch suddenly when they are young. If the twitching frequency is small, it will not attract the attention of parents. However, if the twitching frequency is large, parents will worry whether their children have some kind of disease. So what causes the sudden twitching of babies?

1. This is a normal phenomenon, don't worry. It is caused by the child's imperfect neurological development. It's okay, it will get better as the child grows older. You can put some small quilts around the child's sleeping area to cover it when the child has a convulsion. It will relieve the child's awakening caused by convulsions. This caused the child to be frightened. Usually pay more attention to rest, don't eat too much at home, and avoid greasy, spicy and irritating foods. It is enough to eat some milk, eggs, and lean meat.

2. For children under 6 years old, you should first pay attention to whether the convulsions are caused by fever and low calcium. Antipyretics should be a must-have medicine for children in the family. Commonly used ones on the market include "Tylenol, Tylenol, Motrin, Children's Baifuning Chewable Tablets", etc., which can be selected according to different age groups and used when the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃. You can also prepare antelope horn powder or capsules and use antipyretics with children when they have a high fever to prevent convulsions. They should be given plenty of warm water, and physical cooling methods such as ice compresses and alcohol baths can also be used. After antipyretic treatment, parents should remeasure the child's temperature to make sure the fever has subsided or the temperature is in a declining period. Children with a history of high fever convulsions should go to the hospital for treatment in the early stages of fever. Patients with a history of asthma, favism or who have never used antipyretics must use antipyretics under the guidance of a doctor. However, for children over 2 years old, you should also pay attention to the possibility of epilepsy.

3. When children have a fever, they should seek medical attention promptly to avoid high fever convulsions and damage to brain tissue. Children should also be taken good care of to prevent head injuries. When a child has a seizure for the first time, parents must not panic but should remain calm and take measures as soon as possible. First, let the child lie flat on the bed to prevent falling, and tilt the head to one side to prevent secretions from blocking the airway and causing suffocation. Tilt the head slightly back and slightly raise the neck. This can prevent the root of the tongue from falling back and keep the airway open. You can wrap the handle of a spoon with gauze or cloth or place a pair of chopsticks between your teeth to prevent your tongue from being bitten. If your teeth are clenched, do not pry them open with force to avoid damaging your teeth.
