How to coax a baby to fall asleep quickly

How to make the baby fall asleep quickly is a headache for many parents. Especially some babies sleep during the day and are very energetic at night. This means that parents have to do the same as their babies. So, do moms and dads know how to coax their babies to fall asleep quickly? Today we will introduce to you several methods that can help your baby fall asleep very quickly.

Good sleeping environment

No matter what time it is, an absolutely quiet environment is a very important key point for the baby to fall asleep. If it is at night, the baby has fallen asleep and wakes up, if you hear the baby crying, we cannot turn on the light immediately to check what happened to him, but should choose a relatively darker light source. In such a dark environment, it is not easy to stimulate the baby's spirit and make them excited again. We only need to give the baby enough sense of security and comfort the baby, and they are likely to fall asleep again. Therefore, parents should not react as soon as they hear the baby crying. Just make sure your baby isn't crying for any other reason, then pat them gently and they'll soon fall asleep again.

Establish a bedtime routine

① Take a hot bath and change into sleeping clothes; ② Drink milk, but do not fall asleep immediately after drinking milk. You should stay up for about half an hour, during which you can burp the child; ③ Talk to the child, recite 1 to 2 nursery rhymes, empty the bladder, and then play a fixed lullaby (you can use the one you listened to during prenatal education); ④ Turn off the lights, and do not disturb the child again. It is important to do it on time every day, so that your child can develop the habit of sleeping at a fixed time.

Limit your baby's sleep time during the day

If he sleeps less during the day, he will sleep more at night. Wake him up every 3 or 4 hours when it is time to feed. Play with him more when he is awake, and the indoor light should not be too dark. At night, the light should be dim and it should be quiet. You can take your baby out for appropriate activities during the day. Try not to let your baby sleep between 6 and 7 pm and play with him more. Give your baby a bath at 8-9 pm. Do not breastfeed for 2 hours before bathing. Continue bathing for about 10 minutes to allow the baby to be appropriately tired. Then feed the baby enough milk to help him fall asleep.
