Can a three-year-old baby eat crabs?

Crab is a very nutritious food. Many people like to eat crabs very much. However, babies aged three can eat crabs. It is best not to eat too much crabs. Eating too many crabs will cause gastrointestinal discomfort in babies. The protein and cholesterol content in crabs is very high. People with allergies should eat less crabs. Babies aged three must eat crabs in moderation and not be greedy and eat too much.

Some children cannot eat crabs

How old can children eat crabs? How much can you eat? There is no uniform standard. It depends on the different physique of each child. Some children are not allergic or do not have a weak spleen and stomach, so they can eat more; some children are prone to allergies or have a weak spleen and stomach, so they should not eat crabs.

Of course, even if children can eat crabs, they should take it easy, know when to stop, and not be greedy. After all, young children's physique is not as good as that of adults. They can eat some crab roe or crab meat, but not too much. The amount should be determined according to each child, and the principle should be that the child does not feel unwell. It is best to eat crabs with seasoning containing ginger juice, which can help keep out the cold and warm the stomach.

For children with colds, fevers, and diarrhea, eating crabs will aggravate their condition, so parents should not let them eat crabs; patients with chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcers, cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, and active hepatitis should not eat crabs to avoid aggravating their condition; people with weak spleen and stomach should eat less or no crabs, as eating crabs can easily cause abdominal pain and diarrhea; children with allergic constitutions or those suffering from chronic diseases such as asthma should not eat crabs. If eating crabs causes abdominal pain and diarrhea, you can boil 15 grams of perilla and 5 slices of ginger to relieve pain and diarrhea.

The stored cooked crabs must be re-cooked

What else should you pay attention to when eating crabs? Crab meat is cold in nature, so it is not advisable to eat cold foods at the same time. Do not drink tea while eating crab or within 1 hour after eating crab. Because boiling water will dilute stomach acid, and tea will cause certain components of the crab to coagulate, both are not conducive to digestion and absorption, and may also cause abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Do not eat cooked crabs that have been stored for a long time. Stored cooked crabs are easily invaded and contaminated by bacteria. Therefore, crabs should be cooked and eaten immediately. If you cannot finish it, the leftovers must be kept in a clean, cool and ventilated place, preferably in the refrigerator, and must be put back into the pot and cooked and steamed thoroughly when eating.

In addition, crabs often carry metacercariae of lung fluke and Vibrio parahaemolyticus. If not sterilized at high temperature, lung fluke can cause lung damage after entering the human body. If Vibrio parahaemolyticus invades the human body in large quantities, infectious poisoning will occur, showing symptoms such as intestinal inflammation, edema and congestion. Therefore, crabs must be steamed and cooked thoroughly. Generally, they should be heated for more than 30 minutes after boiling to achieve a disinfection effect. It is best not to eat raw crabs or drunken crabs.
