What causes night convulsions in children?

Sometimes when we are sleeping, we can clearly feel our body twitching. Although we can feel it, we are still not awake in our sleep. In daily life, some friends will experience such symptoms from time to time, and their bodies are not in a state of fatigue, which makes people feel a little strange. So, what causes night twitches in children?

1. The body temperature is too high. When a baby has a cold and fever, the heat generated is greater than the heat dissipated, which will cause the body temperature to rise. If the mother does not find out and does not take measures for the baby, the body temperature will not go down and the baby will have convulsions. After discovering that the baby has convulsions, the mother should not give the baby medicine casually. You can use alcohol and warm water to wipe the baby. When wiping, you need to avoid the ears and behind the pillow to avoid frostbite the baby. The precordial area should not be wiped as it will cause cardiac arrest.

2. Hypocalcemia convulsions. If the mother does not supplement the baby with calcium and the body does not absorb enough calcium, the baby will have convulsions while sleeping. Therefore, the mother should supplement the baby with calcium in daily care. Although some mothers also supplement the baby with calcium, the baby will still have convulsions at night because the baby is not supplemented with vitamin E and the calcium is not absorbed well.

3. Epilepsy. Abnormal discharges in the baby's brain can cause the baby to suffer from epilepsy, with convulsions in the baby's limbs, foaming at the mouth, crooked eyes and a stuffy mouth. At this time, the mother needs to put something soft under the baby's teeth to prevent the baby from biting his tongue. In this case, go to the hospital for treatment.
