Tips for removing thorns from baby's hand

Tips for removing thorns from baby's hand

Because babies are ignorant, they often grab things randomly. Sometimes when parents are not paying attention, babies may touch cacti or other thorny objects. These small thorns may prick the baby's hands, and parents who are not careful will not be able to notice them. And the baby will not say that if the thorn stays in the hand for a long time, it may become inflamed. Here are some tips on how to remove a thorn from your baby's hand.

1. Soak in warm water

Soak the prickly area in warm water for a while. Use the principle of thermal expansion and contraction to make the thorn on the baby's hand push out by itself. Then carefully remove the thorn with your hands or tweezers. This method is very effective, but be careful not to use too hot water as the baby's skin is delicate to avoid burns.

2. Softening of vegetable oil

Drop a few drops of vegetable oil on the finger where the thorn is stuck. The vegetable oil will slowly penetrate into the skin and soften the thorn. Then you can take it out with tweezers.

3. Fengyoujing relieves pain

Our traditional method of removing thorns is to prick them with a needle. The baby may feel very painful. You can drop a few drops of wind oil on the punctured area and then prick it with a needle. This way, the baby will not feel pain and will not bleed. It should be noted that the needle used must be sterilized to avoid infection.

4. Pain-relieving ointment

If you are pricked by the thorns of a cactus or a rose, you can apply an analgesic ointment to the affected area and then apply local heating. You can put your hand over an electric light and when the analgesic ointment is hot, quickly tear off the ointment so that the thorn will be stuck out.

5. Magnet

If the thorn is made of metal, such as an iron thorn, you can first use a needle to pick a crack on the skin surface, and then use a magnet to suck it out, so that the thorn will be easily sucked out.

I have introduced to you so many methods of removing thorns from your hands. I wonder if you have learned them all. The baby's skin is delicate and more easily pricked by thorns. Parents should pay more attention to it and try not to let the baby come into contact with small wood, bamboo and other objects. If you find a thorn in the baby's hand, deal with it in time. If you cannot handle it yourself, take the child to the hospital as soon as possible. If it is left for too long, redness, swelling and pus will easily occur.
