What to do if your child has toothache

What to do if your child has toothache

Because children are young and have reached the age to brush their teeth, parents do not brush their teeth in time, which causes children to experience toothache. Children's teeth are more sensitive. And the pain point is lower. There are many reasons for toothache, because children often eat sweets at home. Failure to rinse your mouth and brush your teeth in time after meals can cause toothache, but what should you do if your child has toothache?

1. Cold compress method: Apply a cold wet towel, ice bag or ice cubes to the cheek near the toothache area. Apply for about 15 minutes each time, 3 to 4 times a day. The cold pack has a sedative and analgesic effect and can effectively relieve tooth pain.

2. Salt water can relieve toothache, and salt water can reduce inflammation and kill bacteria. Take 1 spoon of salt and half a cup of boiling water, stir to dissolve it, wait until it cools down, rinse your mouth frequently, which can often relieve immediate pain. Because salt water can not only remove food debris remaining in the mouth, but also has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and detoxifying effects, it can relieve toothache.

3. Dip in iodine. Toothache in children is mostly caused by caries and worm holes. After cleaning the mouth, when cold water stings, use a glass or commercial cleaning machine to clean the area around the caries and the worm holes, and then use a cotton swab dipped in iodine to penetrate the caries holes to relieve the toothache.

4. Garlic can relieve pain caused by tooth decay or tooth allergies caused by tooth decay. First of all, you should not eat cold, hot, sour, sweet and other foods. Put a cotton ball dipped in sodium fluoride toothpaste into the cavity of the tooth decay, or you can put in crushed garlic, which can effectively relieve pain.
