How to treat hemolytic jaundice in infants

Recently, the smog documentary "Under the Dome" shot by Chai Jing has become popular all over the country. It specifically talks about the impact of environmental pollution on human health. Chai Jing's daughter was diagnosed with a tumor before she was born. Indeed, today's increasingly polluted environment poses a major threat to the health of infants. Infant hemolytic jaundice is also related to environmental pollution. Let us take a closer look at infant hemolytic jaundice.

Treatment:

1. There are several important types of neonatal jaundice: hemolytic jaundice (the doctor will usually do corresponding examinations before the baby is born and will inform you in advance), infectious jaundice (caused by viruses), obstructive jaundice (caused by congenital malformations, very rare), and breast milk jaundice (the condition will recover a lot if breastfeeding is stopped, very rare). Physiological jaundice (the vast majority). This article mainly talks about the treatment recommendations for physiological jaundice! In other cases, you must seek medical attention!

2. Observe frequently: If you experience the following symptoms, please go to a women’s and children’s hospital for treatment immediately! The skin is severely yellow, there is a loss of appetite (no appetite), the urine is yellow (the diaper is directly stained yellow), and there is no energy (crying or crying softly and without strength)! Jaundice usually begins to appear 2-3 days after birth, is most obvious on the 4th to 5th day, and then gradually weakens. It basically disappeared completely in half a month!

3. Feed water frequently: Newborns have physiological jaundice, so feed them more water, but not too much water each time. It can be fed several times. It is recommended to feed them every 2 hours or so, about 20 ml each time. Boiled water is best! Drinking more water can increase the frequency of urination, which can speed up the elimination of jaundice!

4. Sunbathe frequently: Be careful not to expose your eyes to the sun. I usually cover your eyes with a cotton scarf, or hold your baby sideways facing the sun. You can also let your baby lie sideways under the gentle sun! Note that the best time to sunbathe is 9:00-9:30 in the morning and 4:00-4:30 in the afternoon, each time for 20 minutes. The sun during this period is relatively mild and will not harm your baby's skin! (In fact, this principle is ultraviolet light)

5. Feed frequently: Try to breastfeed as much as possible. Currently, no milk powder can match the composition of breast milk. Breast milk is the best partner for babies and can enhance the baby's immunity. Regular and sufficient breastfeeding can enhance the baby's physique and vitality! The baby's healthy physique will help the baby recover from jaundice as soon as possible!

I believe that through the above content we all have some understanding of infant hemolytic jaundice. As parents, we must also read this article carefully for our babies to prevent our own children from suffering from the harm of infant hemolytic jaundice.
