Children's wind-cold cough can be treated through massage. You can massage the child's Tianmen acupoint, and you can also use massage techniques to treat it.

Massage points: Tianmen

Massage technique: Use the tip of your thumb to push straightly from bottom to top alternately, with gentle and even force. Push rhythmically, with a frequency of 200 to 300 times per minute, and push 50 to 100 times.

Massage points: Kan Palace

Massage technique: The practitioner uses two thumbs to push from the center of the eyebrows to the ends of the eyebrows on both sides, about 30 to 50 times.

Massage point: Tanzhong

Massage technique: The operator uses the index finger and middle finger to push down from the sternal notch to the xiphoid process about 50 to 100 times.

Massage point: Tiantu

Massage technique: Use your thumb or the base of your palm to gradually press down on a certain area or acupoint 50 times. Place the tip of your thumb or middle finger on the acupoint and rub it in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction 50 times.

Massage points: Breast root

Massage technique: The operator uses the spiral surface of the thumb to press and rub the acupoints on both sides 30 to 50 times.

Massage points: Feishu

Massage technique: Press and rub the lung points on both sides about 50 times.

Massage points: Dazhui point

Massage technique: Put the thumb at the back, the index and middle fingers at the front, pinch the skin with three fingers at the same time, twist the hands alternately, and move forward slowly. Pinch from the end of the coccyx to the Dazhui point on the neck. After twisting three times, gently lift up once (you don’t need to do this for the first and last time). Sometimes you can hear a "bang, bang" sound. Pinch 3 to 5 times until the skin becomes rosy and slightly congested.

Massage points: Inner Bagua

Massage technique: There is a Bagua point in the palm of the baby's hand. Use your index finger to place the palm of the baby as the center of a circle, and then massage in a clockwise direction. This is called pushing the inner Bagua. Massage one hundred times each time, twice a day.

Massage points: Liver meridian

Massage technique: Use your thumb to massage along the tip of the baby's index finger toward the palm with moderate force. Massage about 100 times, twice a day.

Massage points: Tianmen

Massage technique: Use the tip of your thumb to push straightly from bottom to top alternately, with gentle and even force. Push rhythmically, with a frequency of 200 to 300 times per minute, and push 50 to 100 times.

Massage points: Lung meridian

Massage technique: Start with your thumb at the tip of the baby's ring finger and massage in a straight line toward the palm 100 times.

Massage points: Stomach meridian

Massage technique: Use your thumb to massage the first joint of the baby's thumb toward the palm 100 times, which is called clearing the stomach meridian.

Symptoms of wind-cold cough: cough, thin white sputum, fever, chills, and no sweating.

Massage techniques: basic techniques plus pushing the three gates 300 times, holding the Fengchi point and Hegu point 100 times each, and pushing the temples 300 times.

Symptoms of wind-heat cough: coughing, coughing up yellow phlegm, difficulty in expectoration, sore throat, fever and sweating, and thin yellow tongue coating.

Massage techniques: basic techniques plus Qingfei Meridian 300 times, Tui Liufu 300 times, rub Dazhui point for 2 minutes, press and rub Jianjing point with thumb 10 times, and finally lift with thumbs, index and middle fingers of both hands 5 times.

Massage techniques: If the child coughs up a lot of white phlegm, use basic massage techniques and add tonifying the spleen meridian 300 times, pinching and kneading the four horizontal lines for 4 minutes, and moving the inner Bagua 100 times.
