What to do if your child's face is scratched

It is inevitable that babies will fall due to bumps and bruises when learning to walk, but the baby's skin is relatively tender. Especially in summer, mothers are afraid that the baby will get hot, so they will dress the baby in very few clothes. If the baby falls, it is very likely to break the skin, and the face may also be scratched. So when a child's face is scratched, what should mothers do? Here are some tips for you

It is inevitable that babies will fall down when playing, and their skin may be scratched, swollen or bleeding. Moms should not be afraid. Wash the baby's abraded skin with clean water, then disinfect it with alcohol and iodine (do not use iodine to disinfect the face). If the wound is not large, there is no need to bandage it, keep the wound dry, and disinfect it every day; if the wound is large, you can use a Band-Aid or sterile gauze to bandage it, and disinfect and change it every day. The baby's skin metabolism is very fast, and the granulation tissue and fibrous tissue will quickly repair the wound in about a week.

First, babies have a low tolerance for pain and will often cry non-stop after falling. You can hold the baby in your arms and try to calm the baby so that the baby can cooperate in completing the wound treatment.

The second step is that since babies often fall directly to the ground, the wound on their face may be covered with a lot of dust and dirt. Therefore, use a cotton swab to gently remove any visible dust.

The third step is that if the baby has an open wound after falling, you can go to the pharmacy to buy saline solution to rinse the wound and the edges of the wound. Clean the wound with saline solution

Step 4. After cleaning the wound, you can use hydrogen peroxide to disinfect the baby. It is not recommended to use alcohol here because alcohol is too irritating and the baby's skin is relatively fragile, so it may sting the baby.

The fifth step is to use hydrogen peroxide to disinfect. It is too short. You also need to use a cotton swab to apply iodine to the broken skin to reduce the invasion and reproduction of bacteria.

Step 6. If too much medicine is applied, you need to use a cotton swab to absorb the moisture and keep the baby's broken skin dry. It should be noted that if the wound is very deep, you can choose a bandage.
