What to do if your child falls and gets a scratch

It is very easy for a child to fall when he is just learning to walk, because he cannot master balance yet, and he stumbles when walking, and it is easy for him to fall. At this time, parents should not feel distressed because of the fall, and stop the child from learning to walk. Instead, they should teach the child to stand up from where he fell. So what should you do when a child falls and gets a scratch? The following editor will introduce to you.

Apply some sesame oil to the broken skin to reduce inflammation, isolate the air and reduce the possibility of infection. In addition, call your baby well after he/she falls asleep.

Then just wipe it with iodine. Iodine has a wide disinfection range and it doesn’t hurt much during disinfection. Note that it is best to bathe your child the next day after disinfecting with iodine, otherwise the wound is prone to infection.

Abrasions, manifestations: bleeding and breakage. Treatment: Initial bandaging: For very shallow wounds of small area, you can apply iodized oil or alcohol (mercurochrome) to the skin around the wound and bandage it with clean sterilized gauze. Secondary disinfection: If the wound is not swollen, painful or infected, you can disinfect the wound again with an alcohol cotton ball (mercurochrome) after 2 days. If you don't have iodine or alcohol at home, you can clean the wound with clean water, then apply antibacterial ointment, and then put on a Band-Aid. Experts remind: If the abrasion area is too large, the wound is stained with sand or dirt that cannot be washed off by yourself, or the injured part is important (such as the face), it is recommended to take the baby to see a doctor. For large and deep wounds, parents should take their children to the surgery department in time for local debridement and tetanus injection. Sprain: Symptoms: pain and tenderness, which increases with movement of the affected part. The damaged joint swells, limiting its movement. Muscle cramps (tightening of muscles, caused by involuntary contractions).

You can use iodine to disinfect first. Never apply medicine on the wound. Applying medicine is not conducive to wound healing.
