Can a nine-month-old baby drink soy milk?

If there is a baby at home, then the baby's every move will concern the whole family. Especially when it comes to food, I wish I could let my baby eat the most delicious and nutritious food in the world. Of course, breastfeeding still comes first, and when the baby grows a little older, you can feed him some complementary food. So, can nine-month-old babies drink soy milk?

Soy milk is rich in plant protein. Furthermore, it is better to promote digestion. It can also supplement calcium. There is no big problem in feeding three times a day. The gastric juice of a 9-month-old baby is fully capable of digesting protein, so you can add some protein-containing foods to your baby, such as soy products, dairy products, fish, etc.

You can start with 50 ml of soy milk and gradually increase it later. However, it should be noted that soy milk must be boiled for a longer time in order to eliminate substances in soybeans that inhibit protein digestion and absorption and ensure the nutritional content. But please note that you should drink as little as possible, for fear that the baby may not be able to digest or absorb it. You should observe the baby's stool. The main examination should observe the stool to see if there is any poor digestion.

What complementary food should babies eat when they have a fever?

Supplementary food requirements during fever: Focus on carbohydrates with high water content and feed little by little.

1. When you have a fever, the consumption of water and vitamins increases. In addition, mucosal inflammation can also lead to protein deficiency. Therefore, when your baby has a fever, you should supplement more water, vitamins, and appropriate amount of protein.

2. If the child is able to eat, choose foods that are easy to swallow, mainly dairy products and carbohydrates with high water content. Eat less foods that contain a lot of fat and fiber.

3. If you feel energetic and have an appetite, you can eat complementary food as usual.

4. If you cannot eat complementary foods, make sure you drink dairy products and plenty of water.

5. Eat small meals frequently.

6. Eat easily digestible food, because the baby's gastrointestinal mucosa is more delicate when the baby has a fever, and easily digestible food can protect the baby's gastrointestinal mucosa.
