Physical cooling of a child with a high fever of 39 degrees

I know a lot of mothers, and they always say that what they fear most is their babies getting sick and having a fever. The child is young, so I dare not use any medicine casually for fear of affecting the child. I was also afraid of giving my child an injection because the child would cry and I would feel bad but it would be difficult to take care of him. So everyone will adopt physical cooling methods. However, for many mothers, improper physical cooling will also have an impact on the baby's body. So today let’s talk about how to cool down children physically so that the impact on them is minimal.

1 Physical cooling, the specific operation method is: use 30-40% alcohol, wipe the baby's forehead, both sides of the neck, armpits, front chest and back, legs, palms and soles, etc., evenly and repeatedly.

2 According to your description, you can give your baby a warm water bath and let him drink more water. If the effect is not good, I suggest you take your baby to the hospital as soon as possible. I wish your baby good health.

3 If the child has a fever of over 39℃, after giving the child oral antipyretics, parents can also use physical cooling methods to help the child lower the body temperature, such as wrapping an ice pack in a small towel and applying it to the forehead, and wiping the back with diluted alcohol. For children whose fever is not very high, you can also give them a warm bath, but if the body temperature is too high, you cannot use hot compresses, and should use cold compresses.

4. Let your child drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. When a child has a fever, a large amount of water will be lost in the body. Therefore, children with fever should be given more boiled water. Vitamin-rich vegetable juice and fruit juice are also good choices. It is best to give children light, easily digestible liquid food.

5. Open windows frequently for ventilation. When children have a fever, some parents worry that their children will be exposed to the wind again, so they close the doors and windows tightly. In fact, you should open windows from time to time to ventilate the room so that the air in the room is fresh, which will be more conducive to the child's recovery.

6. Don't cover your child too tightly. Some parents take their feverish babies to the hospital for treatment and wrap them up in three layers. The doctor asks the parents to take off two pieces of clothing immediately because putting too many clothes on a feverish child is not conducive to heat dissipation.

Finally, it should be noted that when a child has a fever, parents should pay close attention to the onset of the disease. If the child's temperature is not very high and the general condition is relatively good, he can be treated and rested at home.
