Can babies eat instant seaweed? Be more careful in the future

As we all know, seaweed has very high nutritional value, especially it contains a variety of mineral elements which are very necessary for the human body. However, if the child is relatively young, you must be cautious when eating seaweed. It is best not to let the child eat too much to avoid harming the child's health.

1. Because seaweed contains 12 kinds of vitamins and is rich in minerals such as calcium, potassium, iodine, iron and zinc, it can help babies prevent anemia. Babies aged 1-3 years old can eat seaweed in moderation as an appetizer snack, but don’t eat too much, because seaweed is relatively fresh, and if babies eat too much, they may lose interest in other foods. This issue should be noted for all baby snacks.

2. However, it is not recommended for babies under 1 year old to eat seaweed. Nori is seasoned during processing and contains more salt. Therefore, people who need to control salt intake should appropriately control the amount of seasoned nori they eat. They can eat some unseasoned nori sheets (roasted nori, which is the common sushi nori). The salt content of seaweed is very high and it is not suitable to be consumed in excess. It is best not to exceed 1 tael (50g, 1 piece of 19*21 sushi seaweed is 2.7g) at a time. Especially for young children and people with high blood pressure, do not consume in excess and guardians should pay attention to control.

3. Nori refers to the seaweed that has a crispy texture after being roasted and melts in the mouth. Especially after being seasoned and adding oil, salt and other seasonings, it becomes a particularly delicious "nori". Nori concentrates various B vitamins in seaweed, especially riboflavin and niacin, as well as a lot of vitamin A and vitamin E, and a small amount of vitamin C.

4. Seaweed contains about 15% minerals, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, etc., which are necessary to maintain normal physiological functions. It is especially rich in selenium and iodine. These minerals can help the human body maintain the acid-base balance, are beneficial to the growth and development of children, and are also helpful for the elderly to delay aging.
