What to eat for baby's fever and cold

Adults have strong constitutions and can get over the heat and cold without taking medicine. However, for young babies, they are still very small and their body resistance is not well developed. Once they have a heat and cold, they will feel very uncomfortable. Especially when parents see their babies suffering from the pain, they feel very distressed. So what can babies eat to treat heat and cold effectively?

Nasal congestion and runny nose are the most common symptoms after a cold. It is very uncomfortable when your nose is blocked. Especially for infants and young children, nasal congestion will make them irritable and cry non-stop.

What should I do if my child has a cold and a stuffy nose? Is there any way to make the stuffy nose heal faster?

When my baby caught a cold and had a stuffy nose when he was young, the nurse at the hospital provided a method that was quite effective. Now I’m sharing it with everyone.

When your child has a cold, use a clean towel or gauze, dip it in boiling water, wring it out (even if it is very hot), and then wrap the child in layers. (Be careful not to burn the baby because the baby's skin is very tender. Adults can test the temperature on their own bodies first.) Then place the wrapped cloth balls at the base of the baby's nose (a little below the eyebrows) for hot compress.

Because the child is young and not very cooperative, the best way is to wait until he just falls asleep when he is not easy to wake up, and the hot compress time must be long. You can change the water each time you apply it, and do it several times.

First, you must control the temperature well. If the temperature is too low, it will not be effective, but you must not scald the child. Second, after wrung out the gauze, you must wrap it in layers and never let the boiling water touch the child's skin directly.

After the hot compress, the child's eyebrows and nose bridge will be red for a long time, but it doesn't matter, don't worry, his nose will be relaxed after he wakes up.

You can also squeeze about 50-100 ml of breast milk into a small bowl, take 1-2 scallions (with roots), wash them and put them into the milk, steam them in water for 5-10 minutes (you can smell the scallion fragrance), take them out and let them cool, then feed them to the baby with a spoon. It has the effect of dispelling exterior pathogens and treating colds and nasal congestion. Or press the Yingxiang points in the nasolabial groove on both sides of the nose several times a day, 10 times each time, which can clear the blocked nasal cavity, so that the child is less likely to have breathing difficulties when feeding.

In fact, for babies, no matter what medicine they take, it will cause certain damage to the body. Therefore, it is recommended that parents of young babies, when their babies have heat and colds, do not blindly pursue what to eat to treat the heat and colds, but consider some physical solutions to the problem. This will minimize the damage to the baby's body.
