What causes bleeding in the child's ears?

Ear bleeding is an abnormal condition because it may lead to many consequences and side effects. There are many reasons for ear bleeding, such as some injuries or some diseases. Not only adults but children can also experience ear bleeding. So what is the cause of ear bleeding in children?

Trauma: Trauma includes craniocerebral trauma and external auditory canal injury. Craniocerebral trauma is the injury caused by external violence directly or indirectly acting on the head, while external auditory canal injury is the injury caused by excessive ear picking.

Recommendation: If bleeding persists, you should go to the hospital for treatment. As long as it's not bleeding, it's probably fine and will usually heal on its own as long as the ear canal isn't infected.

Note: Keep the external auditory canal clean and dry. Do not rinse the external auditory canal with water or use any ear drops, as this will not only be unhelpful, but may allow bacteria to enter the middle ear and cause infection.

Hemangioma rupture: Hemangioma is a benign vascular disease that is more common in female infants. It can occur in any part of the body, especially the head and neck. These parts are generally close to the epidermis and can rupture and bleed if not handled with care, leading to infection and rapid deterioration of the disease.

Recommendation: For children with skin hemangiomas, both the children and their parents should trim their nails regularly to avoid scratching. Hemangiomas in special areas should be detected and treated early. After the bleeding stops, disinfect the wound with disinfectant. If the wound is large and deep and difficult to treat by yourself, please go to the hospital for disinfection or anti-infection treatment by medical staff.

Children's ear precautions

1. Don’t clean your child’s ears frequently: Some children like to have their ears cleaned, thinking it is very comfortable. However, don’t clean your child’s ears too frequently, or it is best not to do so, as this will damage their hearing.

2. Don't do these things that may harm children's hearing development: Don't let children be exposed to noisy environments for a long time, don't let water enter their ears when washing their hair, and don't use ototoxic drugs.
