Children nowadays mature earlier, and some girls even experience precocious puberty. Precocious puberty in girls is mainly manifested in breast development, irregular vaginal bleeding, and some vaginal secretions. These symptoms show that the girl has matured precociously.

Symptoms of precocious puberty in girls

Girls mainly experience breast development, which may be tender and they will tell their mothers that their chest hurts. In addition, there is development of external genitalia, increased vaginal secretions, growth of pubic hair, the onset of menstruation and the appearance of axillary hair. Menstruation begins with irregular vaginal bleeding and no ovulation, which gradually develops into periodic menstruation.

Partial precocious puberty

It manifests as simple premature breast development, simple premature pubic hair development, and simple early menarche. The age of onset is often less than 2 years old, and the mammary glands are only slightly developed and show cyclical changes. Growth is accelerated and bone development is not premature. Vaginal bleeding does not occur. Patients may develop true precocious puberty.

Simple premature breast development is a manifestation of incomplete precocious puberty in girls. The onset age is young, often less than 2 years old, the breasts are only slightly developed, and often show cyclical changes.

This type of children does not have accelerated growth, early bone development, or vaginal bleeding, but has elevated levels of related hormones in the body. Since some patients may gradually develop true precocious puberty, such children should be followed up and examined.
