Early symptoms of hepatitis in babies, parents should learn to make comprehensive judgments

Babies will show a series of symptoms after suffering from hepatitis, but some symptoms are easily confused with the symptoms of other diseases, so parents often misjudge them. For this reason, today we introduce the early comprehensive symptoms of baby hepatitis, and parents can make a comprehensive judgment based on this.

1. Physical fatigue

Healthy children are usually playful and active and are quite lively. If the child suddenly becomes listless, listless, always loves to sleep, and becomes increasingly thin, childhood hepatitis should be considered.

2. Fever

The early symptoms of childhood hepatitis are often similar to those of a cold, especially in areas where hepatitis is prevalent. If a child has a low fever (body temperature below 38°C) and no respiratory symptoms, childhood hepatitis should be considered.

3. Anorexia

The child usually has a normal diet, but recently he has not been interested in eating. He even refuses to eat delicious meals and is afraid of the smell of oil, which suggests that the child may have hepatitis.

4. Jaundice

Jaundice first occurs in the child's sclera and conjunctiva (white of the eye), followed by yellowing of the skin behind the ears and all over the body. This is often icteric hepatitis in children.

5. Yellow urine

Yellow urine is one of the common early signs of hepatitis in children and should be paid special attention to. However, it is necessary to identify the child’s recent medication history (such as taking riboflavin, berberine, furazolidone, etc.) and certain foods.

6. Upper abdominal pain

The sick child has an enlarged liver, which manifests as dull pain or continuous bloating in the right upper abdomen, especially at night. Some sick children also have enlarged spleens, accompanied by obvious local tenderness, and refuse to be touched by adults.

7. Loose stools

If a child has loose stools, more frequent stools, and dark yellow stools without a history of catching a cold or eating unclean food, pediatric hepatitis should be considered.

Experts remind that early detection is particularly important for preventing and treating pediatric hepatitis. Otherwise, it will not only bring many disadvantages to the sick child's subsequent treatment and recovery, but may even infect others.
