What to do if your child has chicken skin

Chicken skin will affect the patient's skin health, but in life, many children also have this symptom. This phenomenon is likely to be caused by genetics. Hereditary chicken skin will cause small red bumps on the skin when the baby is seven or eight years old. The condition will be more serious in the teens. Since children of this age are in puberty, it is very likely to affect the child's height development. So what should children do with chicken skin?

First, what should we do if children have chicken skin? Chicken skin is the symptom of goose bumps on the skin surface of the body, which look like small papules. They are scattered in various parts of the human body. People with this disease have goose bumps on their legs and arms, and some people even have goose bumps on their necks, backs, and faces. These small bumps have rough surfaces and form small bumps on the skin. Although they do not hurt or itchy to the touch, they feel very bad and have a great impact on the body's image.

Second, exfoliate gently. A relatively gentle way to exfoliate is to take a bath with bath salts (table salt also has an exfoliating effect, but the sodium in it will dry out the skin. People with "chicken skin" are better off using Dead Sea bath salts with moisturizing effects). You can also dissolve the bath salts in hot water first, then mix it with a plant-based shower gel (shower gel with more chemical agents will react chemically with bath salts) and use it in the shower. When taking a bath with bath salts, you can also add rose and sandalwood essential oils to exfoliate and moisturize the skin.

Third, moisturizing is more important. More important than exfoliating is moisturizing the skin. "Chicken skin" is a skin that is very lacking in water and oil. Using ordinary body lotion will not be moisturizing enough. Instead, you should use body lotion sold in pharmacies that is specially formulated for extremely dry skin, such as Uriage Ultra-Rich Body Lotion, La Roche-Posay Body Cream, Vichy Nutritive Body Cream, etc. You should also use moisturizing cleansing products when bathing.

What should we do if children have chicken skin? They should eat more foods containing vitamin A, such as eggs, spinach, carrots, etc. When it comes to medication, you should also choose pure Chinese medicine and products that do not contain hormones.
