What are the symptoms of colic in children?

Do parents know about the symptoms of colic in children? In fact, when children have some diseases, there are usually some symptoms, such as screaming loudly without warning, or crying loudly, and some parts of the body will have abnormal conditions, such as shortness of breath, abdominal distension, cold hands and feet. If these symptoms last for a long time, you should pay attention.

1. Scream

A baby who screams loudly without warning is a major symptom of colic.

2. Crying

(1) Crying

Loud crying usually occurs at the same time as screaming. Some babies will kick their legs continuously while crying loudly and will not stop until they are exhausted.

(2) Characteristics of crying

Even if parents patiently comfort a crying baby, the situation will only ease to a certain extent. Before long, the baby will start crying again and the crying may last for a long time, especially in the middle of the night. And what's strange is that sometimes the baby starts crying and making a fuss at the same time every day.

3. Other parts of the body

Some babies may also move other parts of their body while crying, such as shaking their heads for a long time and at a high frequency, breathing rapidly, having abdominal distension, cold hands and feet, etc. Sometimes the fists may be clenched and the feet may be stiff or bent.

4. Longer duration

The onset of this symptom may last from tens of minutes to hours, and no matter how much parents comfort and care for their baby, it cannot really relieve the symptoms. The pain will only be relieved when the baby has exhausted his own strength, or has a bowel movement or farts.

5. Onset time

Symptoms may occur at any time of the day, but are most common in the evening and at night.
