White crusty scalp

White crusty scalp

Babies with pink and tender skin have always been very popular, but we will also find that many children’s hair often has thick dandruff. Parents should never peel it off with their hands, because this is a self-protection secretion of the baby’s scalp after birth. Clean the child’s hair regularly, and the dandruff will slowly fall off.

Tips for cleaning your baby's scalp

1. Before washing, mothers should prepare various cleaning supplies, including baby lotion, baby shampoo, towels and a special baby washbasin.

2. Let the baby lie on his back in the mother's arms. The mother holds the baby's body with her left arm and supports the back of the baby's head with her left palm; cover the baby's ears with the left thumb and index finger to prevent bath water from entering the ear canal, and then wash the baby's hair with a wet towel.

3. Gently apply an appropriate amount of moisturizing oil on the dandruff and let it soften the dandruff for about a few minutes.

4. Then, soak the baby's head with warm water at 38℃-40℃, wash it with baby shampoo, and finally, rinse the hair with warm water.

Tips:

Do not use too much moisturizing oil to soften dandruff to avoid it getting into the baby's eyes and ears.

If the dandruff is not completely removed in one go, repeat the process the next day until it is completely removed.
