Can sepsis in children be cured?

Sepsis is relatively common in clinical practice, and the incidence of this disease is also very high among young children. As long as sepsis is caused by infection, the symptoms are quite obvious. Children's health is an issue that many adults are very concerned about. When a child develops sepsis, timely treatment must be given and attention must be paid to prognostic care. So can children with sepsis be cured?

1. Treatment principles

Neonatal sepsis is a serious infectious disease in the neonatal period. Once diagnosed, it must be treated early. The treatment principles for neonatal sepsis are early medication, rational medication, combination medication, and intravenous administration. The course of treatment is sufficient and attention should be paid to the toxic and side effects of the drugs. Pay attention to monitoring changes in the patient's condition, promptly correct acidosis and hypoxemia, promptly correct shock, and actively treat cerebral edema and DIC. With active treatment, the patient's prognosis is still good.

2. High cure rate

The cause of sepsis may be bacterial infection in the blood. As long as antibiotics are used reasonably, the cure rate is generally very high. Blood transfusion is not the best treatment method and it is very dangerous. The doctor will never recommend it to you, and it cannot treat sepsis. The best thing is to use antibiotics reasonably, pay attention to personal hygiene, and reduce the baby's infection. Sepsis and cancer are two different things, and sepsis is completely curable.

3. Other treatments

When sepsis is accompanied by multiple abscesses it is called septicemia. A high-protein, high-calorie, high-vitamin diet is given to ensure nutrition. Immunoglobulin can be given intravenously or plasma, whole blood or albumin can be transfused in small amounts multiple times. For patients with severe symptoms of infection and poisoning, short-term (3-5 days) treatment with adrenal cortex hormones can be given while using sufficient amounts of effective antibiotics.
