Can hemiplegia in children be cured?

Can hemiplegia in children be cured?

Hemiplegia is a common disease among children. It will first cause problems in the development of the child's limbs, and may even affect normal walking, and key parts of the body will also be deformed. Therefore, in the rehabilitation training process, what should be mastered is early detection, early treatment, and timely implementation of corresponding nursing measures. In addition, timely correction through exercise is required.

Hemiplegia and cerebral palsy in children

(1) Early detection and early treatment: The motor system of infants and young children is in the developmental stage. Early detection and correction of motor abnormalities are likely to achieve better results.

(2) Promote normal motor development and inhibit abnormal movements and postures. Perform functional training according to the laws of children's motor development, and gradually encourage children to develop correct motor skills.

Experts at the center believe that there are the following aspects:

(1) Early detection and early treatment: The motor system of infants and young children is in the developmental stage. Early detection and correction of motor abnormalities are likely to achieve better results.

(2) Promote normal motor development and inhibit abnormal movements and postures. Perform functional training according to the laws of children's motor development, and gradually encourage children to develop correct movements.

(3) Comprehensive treatment: Comprehensive and diversified treatment is provided to children using various effective means. In addition to treating movement disorders, intervention is also required for concurrent language disorders, mental retardation, epilepsy, and behavioral abnormalities. It is also necessary to cultivate their ability to face daily life, learn to communicate, and engage in a certain profession in the future.

(4) Combination of family training and doctor's guidance. The rehabilitation of cerebral palsy is a long process. Short-term hospitalization cannot achieve good results. Many treatments need to be completed at home. Parents and doctors should work closely together to develop training plans, evaluate training effects, and correct unreasonable training methods under the guidance of doctors.

【Cerebral palsy-exercise therapy】

It mainly uses Baboth technology, proprioception, and skin sensation promotion technology in neural promotion technology, following the laws of infant neurodevelopment and the characteristics of motor activities.

There are many sensory facilitation techniques. For children with spastic cerebral palsy, inhibitory techniques can be used, such as continuous joint pressure, slow traction, continuous placement, slow pinching, slow autonomous movement without resistance, etc. Strong stimulation techniques can be used for children with flaccid paralysis, such as rapid pulling, squeezing, patting, vibrating, tapping, brushing, etc.

【Cerebral palsy-physiotherapy】

Functional electrical stimulation in neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy can prevent atrophy of paralyzed muscles and promote the recovery of paralyzed functions. It is suitable for children with flaccid paralysis and athetosis. Medium frequency electrical stimulation therapy can be used to relieve muscle spasms, restore muscle fatigue, relieve pain, and reduce swelling, and has a wide range of uses. Biofeedback therapy is suitable for older children, allowing them to learn to control their electromyographic signals and relax or strengthen their muscle contractions.

The temperature stimulation of water and the massage effect of water on the skin can help relieve muscle spasms in children with cerebral palsy and eliminate their nervousness when moving on the ground. The buoyancy in the water reduces the weight of the body and makes it easier to correct the abnormal posture of the children. The water temperature used varies from person to person, generally 34~38℃.
