There are small granules on the child's cheeks

Children's skin is different from adults' skin. Children's skin is more sensitive and prone to allergic reactions. There are many reasons why children have small granules on their cheeks. Generally, it is considered to be inflammation. If the child's face itches, he will keep scratching, causing infection and inflammation. It may also be an allergic reaction, such as skin care products applied on the face, or the food he usually eats. It may also be fat particles. No matter what the reason is, it must be identified and treated in time.

① Fat granules

The small particles on both sides of a child's cheeks may be fat particles. It is recommended to apply vitamin E oil evenly on the fat particles after washing the face every night. The fat particles will dry up in about two weeks and can then be easily peeled off.

Symptoms: Sebaceous cysts are small white bumps that grow on the skin. They are about the size of a needle tip and look like small white sesame seeds. They are usually found on the face.

②Allergies

The small particles on both sides of the child's cheeks may be symptoms of allergies. It is recommended to take vitamin C, astemizole, cyproheptadine, cimetidine orally, and apply pyrexone ointment externally for treatment. Actively identify allergens and perform desensitization treatment.

Symptoms: Skin allergies such as erythema, rashes, papules, blisters, and even peeling.

③ Dermatitis

If a child has small particles on both sides of his cheeks, it is considered to be dermatitis. It is recommended to apply benzoyl peroxide gel or clindamycin phosphate gel topically for treatment. The child should eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, avoid spicy, greasy and irritating foods, keep the skin clean, avoid adverse stimulation, and supplement with vitamins C and B2.

Symptoms: Mild allergic dermatitis includes localized skin congestion, redness, swelling, light blood spots, and burning sensation.

Precautions for dermatitis

1. Keep your skin clean and dry

It is advisable to use warm water and non-alkaline bath products to clean your child's body. Pay special attention to cleaning between skin folds.

2. Avoid external stimulation

Children with contact dermatitis should especially avoid exposing their skin to cold wind or strong sunlight and keep their nails short. If they suffer from severely itchy atopic dermatitis or contact dermatitis, parents need to trim their children's nails frequently to prevent them from scratching themselves.

3. Avoid spicy food

Stimulating foods such as chili peppers, alcohol, strong tea, coffee, etc. can aggravate itching and easily cause eczema to worsen or relapse, so they should be avoided.

4. Avoid scratching

Avoid scratching, as scratching can cause the skin to be constantly exposed to mechanical stimulation, causing it to thicken and even cause infection.

5. Avoid blind medication

Dermatitis and eczema have a long course and are prone to recurrence. Patients must cooperate with doctors and receive treatment patiently. Some people are eager to treat the disease and apply high-concentration antipruritic drugs to the lesions without consulting a doctor; this can make the condition worse. Therefore, avoid taking medication without authorization.

6. Bathing taboos

Avoid washing or soaking with hot water. Washing or soaking with hot water will increase the redness and swelling, increase the exudate, and aggravate the condition. Avoid washing with soap, especially highly alkaline soaps, which are chemical irritants to the skin and can aggravate dermatitis and eczema.
