Can 11 month old baby eat yogurt?

Many mothers feed their babies yogurt, thinking it is good for their health. However, some mothers are worried that if their babies are too young to drink yogurt, it will affect their health. So in response to various questions, we will introduce in detail whether 11-month-old babies can drink yogurt and what benefits yogurt will bring to babies.

Reasons to give your baby yogurt

Yogurt is a milk product made from fresh milk. After it is pasteurized, beneficial bacteria (fermentation agent) is added to the milk. After fermentation, the milk is cooled and bottled. There are four reasons to let your baby drink yogurt:

1. Yogurt has high nutrient and energy density. A cup of yogurt (150 ml) can provide infants and young children with 30% of energy and calcium and about 10% of protein. Yogurt is very similar to human milk and is easy to digest, making it especially suitable for infants and young children with immature digestive systems.

2. Yogurt contains galactose, which is a component of brain lipids in the brain and nervous system, and is closely related to the rapid growth of the baby's brain after birth.

3. Diarrhea is a common disease among infants and young children in summer. Yogurt contains sufficient lactic acid bacteria, which can effectively inhibit the production of harmful bacteria and enhance immunity, thus preventing diarrhea or shortening the duration of chronic diarrhea.

4. Yogurt is a semi-solid food. Drinking yogurt gives a stronger sense of fullness than milk and is suitable for guiding babies to transition from liquid food to solid food.

If you want to ensure your baby's health and scientifically supplement his body with the various nutrients he needs, then the dietary common sense and principles introduced above should not be ignored. This way, you can supplement their nutrition while avoiding other hazards.
