I believe many people have had this experience, that is, worms came out when having diarrhea. When they were young, they would be very scared when worms came out. In fact, parasites often appear in the human stomach, especially in children, such as the well-known roundworms. Some worms parasitize in the body without obvious symptoms, but if there are more parasites, there will be obvious pain. The greater harm is that the parasites will absorb a lot of nutrients, which will seriously hinder the child's absorption of nutrients. Therefore, children with worms in their stomachs for a long time tend to become thin, so parents should pay attention to it. So what are some ways to judge whether there are worms in the child’s stomach? First, parents can observe whether their children have symptoms of parasitic infection based on their age, gender and other characteristics. Such as weight loss, picky eating, and frequent stomach pain (the pain is not severe, mainly around the navel). There are round white spots on the face, some have small purple-blue spots on the whites of the eyes, and they often scratch their buttocks due to anal itching. After deworming, the abdominal pain symptoms disappeared and the appetite gradually improved. Second, for children suspected of having parasites, intestinal anthelmintics such as Enterococcus aureus and Levamisole are currently used. After oral administration, 95% of the enteroworm clearing product is not absorbed and is excreted through the feces within 24 hours. It is not easily accumulated in the body and has no obvious side effects. It is suitable for children (not suitable for children under two years old). However, this type of medicine must be taken under the guidance of a doctor, and generally requires another dose after 3 months or half a year to completely eliminate the "escaped ones" that develop from worm eggs. Third, red worm (red worm disease) Babies with red worm disease may feel red worms wriggling in their rectum, and sometimes experience severe pain in the upper and middle abdomen, which will be relieved after eating. Some red worms even parasitize in the brain and cause brain cysticercosis, which causes increased intracranial pressure in children, headaches, vomiting and epileptic seizures, and in severe cases can cause death. Fourth, roundworms (ascariasis) Ascaris can cause the baby to have sudden, sharp pain in the upper abdomen, which feels like being stabbed by a needle or bayonet. The child often holds his abdomen with his knees bent, lies prone on the bed, looks pale, sweats profusely, and groans constantly. Soon after the abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting will occur, and in severe cases, bile and roundworms may even be vomited. 5. Pinworms (Enterobiasis) When pinworms parasitize the intestines, they can damage the intestinal mucosa, causing bleeding and inflammation. If the eggs hatch in the anus, the larvae crawl into the anus and invade the large intestine, causing retrograde infection. Mothers can check the baby's anus 1 to 3 hours after the baby falls asleep. If there are worms crawling out, they can be caught with tweezers and placed in a small bottle of alcohol for preservation. Because pinworms do not necessarily crawl out to lay eggs every night, continuous observation for 3 to 5 days is necessary. 6. Hookworms (Ancylostoma) The most common symptoms of hookworm disease in infants are tarry black stools, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and severe anemia. |
