How to make egg yolk paste for babies?

When babies can add complementary foods, egg yolk mud is a very nutritious food, so egg yolk mud has always been a favorite complementary food for many mothers to feed their babies. The method of making egg yolk mud is simple, and it can also supplement the iron elements needed by babies, which is very good for the growth of babies. Although egg yolk mud is very good, there are some things to pay attention to when making it for babies. When making egg yolk mud for babies, pay attention to the following points:

1. Note 1

When making egg yolk paste, the egg white must be removed. This is because the protein in egg white is more likely to cause allergic reactions and should not be consumed by children over the age of 1.

2. Note 2

For babies aged 6 months, the amount of egg yolk should be increased gradually. You can start by feeding them 1/4 of an egg yolk. If the baby digests it well, has normal bowel movements, and has no allergic reactions, you can gradually increase the amount to 1/2 or 3/4 of an egg yolk. After 8 months, you can feed them the whole egg yolk. Babies over 8 months old can be gradually fed a small amount of egg custard, fish paste, liver paste, soft noodles, soft porridge, etc.

3. Note three

Choose fresh eggs as the raw material and put them in cold water when cooking so that they are not easy to boil. Soak them in cold water immediately after cooking so that they are easier to remove the shells.

4. Note four

Uncooked liquid egg yolks are not suitable for babies to eat. The most suitable egg yolks should be dry and powdery, tender yellow in color. Such egg yolks are most suitable for making egg yolk paste for babies. As for the time to boil eggs, it is about 5 minutes. Parents should decide based on their own home’s heat conditions and experience. When there is a black circle on the outer layer of the yolk, it means that the egg is overcooked. Although overcooked eggs do not contain bacteria, the iron in the yolk has been cooked out. Such overcooked eggs are not suitable for babies to eat.
