What causes heart pain in children?

Heart health is very important for both adults and children. Many middle-aged and elderly friends often feel heart pain in their lives. In this case, it can be considered as a heart disease. It is more likely to occur when you are older, but you must pay attention to children’s heart pain. It may be due to inflammation caused by colds or viruses, or heart disease. As a parent, you must take your child to the hospital for a detailed examination as soon as possible.

Heart pain refers to angina pectoris, which is mainly manifested by stabbing pain behind the sternum. Generally speaking, it is rare in children, and younger children are unable to accurately describe this symptom. After decades of seeing patients, I have never seen a child report heart pain. Therefore, when children say they have upper abdominal pain, or pain under the heart, we should first consider stomach, gallbladder and other diseases, such as indigestion, gastritis, biliary ascariasis, etc.

1. Regular check-ups: During the period of medication treatment, child patients also need to go to the hospital for regular check-ups to avoid serious arrhythmias. In addition, parents should pay attention to their children's symptoms during the recovery period at home. If they have symptoms of dizziness or chest tightness, they must seek medical attention in time.

2. To avoid colds or pharyngitis in children, parents should pay attention to adding or removing clothes for children according to the weather to avoid cold wind and try not to take children to crowded public places to prevent them from catching a cold. If the patient feels eye pain, he should seek medical attention immediately.

3. Get enough rest. Parents should pay attention to ensure that their children get enough rest. For patients with insomnia symptoms, they can take some sleeping pills in moderation to ensure that the cerebral cortex gets enough rest, otherwise the disorder of the central nervous system will lead to unnecessary effects. If premature beats increase when your heart rate accelerates, pay more attention to rest. Otherwise, you should participate in appropriate activities, but be careful not to participate in strenuous exercise.
