56-day-old baby development standard

56-day-old baby development standard

Generally speaking, babies grow rapidly every day after birth, and their growth and development are different at different stages, especially for babies who have just been born. Their growth and development is usually very fast. Most parents are not particularly clear about their baby's growth and development standards. If parents can understand the baby's development standards at 56 days old, they can accurately judge the baby's development standards.

Growth indicators

Boys weigh 3.94-7.97kg and are 52.2-65.7cm tall; girls weigh 3.72-7.46kg and are 51.1-64.1cm tall.

Capability Indicators

When the baby is lying on his stomach, he can hold his head up for tens of seconds and keep his head straight.

Physical appearance:

During this month, your baby will continue to grow at the same rate as he did in the first week of life. This month, the child's weight will increase by 0.7 to 0.9 kg, the height will increase by 2.5 to 4 cm, and the head circumference will increase by 1.25 cm. These are all average values.

Two months old

The weight of male infants is 3.5 to 6.8 kg and the length is 52.9 to 63.2 cm;

The weight of the baby girl is 3.3 to 6.1 kg and the height is 52.0 to 63.2 cm.

Sports:

During this month, many of your child's body movements are still reflexive, such as adopting a defensive position every time the head is turned (tonic neck reflex) and reaching out the arms when hearing a noise or feeling dropped (Moro reflex). If you gently pull your child's hands to make him sit up, his head will fall limply backward. He may be able to struggle to lift his head and look around, even if he can only hold his head up for a second or two, but it will at least allow him to see the world with a slightly different perspective, lifting his nose and mouth away from the pillow and blanket that are blocking his view. The child's legs also gradually become stronger and more active, and his legs will begin to straighten from the flexed position at birth. Although his occasional kicks are still mainly reflexive, the power will increase rapidly. There will be many changes in his hand movements, and the child's hand will suddenly relax and the arm will be abducted.

How to care for a 2-month-old baby

1. Infant eczema: The main cause of eczema is the baby's allergic reaction to things he eats, inhales, or touches. When a baby has eczema, he will feel very itchy and will keep scratching with his little hands. You must stop him in time to prevent him from scratching his skin and making the eczema more serious. In addition to going to the hospital for treatment, it is also necessary to check whether the diet is appropriate and try to find out the causative factors so that targeted treatment can be provided.

2. Infant constipation: Constipation mostly occurs in babies who drink milk powder, while babies who drink breast milk are less likely to suffer from constipation. When your baby is constipated, you can give him more water, massage his stomach, etc., which can relieve constipation.

3. Diaper rash: When your baby has diaper rash, you should keep his or her little butt dry and expose him or her to sunlight appropriately, which is also helpful in treating diaper rash. Do not rub the area with diaper rash hard. After cleaning, use cotton gauze to absorb the moisture. You can also apply Vaseline or anti-inflammatory ointment locally to form a protective film to isolate irritants.

4. Infant spitting up: Babies are particularly prone to spitting up because of their small stomach capacity, short esophagus, and the immature cardia connecting the esophagus and stomach. You can burp your baby after he finishes feeding, and don't let him play too much. Alternatively, you can also eat small, frequent meals.
