How to train children's patience

As parents, we must teach our children in life and have reasonable patience to deal with some things. This will allow children to deal well with some problems in life, and parents can also relax. So how can we improve children's patience through some reasonable and effective methods?

How to train your child's patience

1. Let the child wait for a while; when parents are communicating and talking with others, don’t just tell the child: "Baby, be quiet over there, Daddy (Mom) wants to chat with uncles and aunts for a while." At this time, you might as well give the child a small thing he has never seen to divert his attention. When he figures out how to play, you have ended the conversation. During the waiting period, you can also let your child read a book, draw a picture, or do something he is interested in. Over time, your child will learn how to choose how to pass the time.

2. Deliberately let your child wait; when your child tells you that he really wants something or wants to eat something, you can ask him to wait first and try to explain to him so that he understands how long to wait. During the waiting period, you can count with your child or tell him a short story, and then praise him and give him what he wants: "You are great today. You listened to the story carefully, so I want to reward you." However, it is worth noting that the waiting time depends on the age of the child. It can start with one minute, two minutes, three minutes... and gradually increase.

3. The skill of tacit communication; In daily life, you can train the tacit understanding between children and parents. Parents can put their children's hands in their own hands, hold their hands, and tell the children in this way: I know your requirements, and I will meet you as soon as possible. If parents meet an acquaintance on the road and need to have a few words with him, the child will want the adults' attention and may make a fuss or cry. At this time, the parents can use the training they give to the child, such as holding his hand and comforting his emotions. This way you can communicate with your child without interrupting your conversation with your friends.

To cultivate children's patience, it should be reflected in daily life. Teaching children what patience is is a long process. Children should be made to believe that if they patiently wait a little bit of time, they will eventually get what they have always wanted.
