What are the clinical symptoms of asthma in children?

If a child suffers from asthma, parents must be very cautious, because this disease has a great impact on the child's physical and mental health, and severe cases can directly lead to the child's death. When children develop asthma, they will experience obvious difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, pale complexion, cold sweats, frequent coughing, etc.

1. Initial symptoms:

In the early stages, symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, coughing, and chest tightness may appear. Because these symptoms are similar to those of a cold, many parents ignore them and treat them with methods for treating a cold. Therefore, if these symptoms do not improve, you should take them seriously and take your child to a regular hospital for examination.

Second, mid-term symptoms:

In addition to the initial symptoms, there are also symptoms of wheezing and dyspnea. Dyspnea is the main symptom of asthma. Even if the patient does not exercise and sits quietly, he will feel that he does not have enough air and must breathe one breath at a time. Sometimes he will experience uninterrupted dyspnea.

3. Late symptoms:

In addition to the symptoms of the early and middle stages, the late stage symptoms are also accompanied by wheezing, which is a high-pitched breath sound when the patient breathes. This is the sound produced when air flows from the lungs through the respiratory tract that has become narrowed due to inflammation. Some patients also experience vomiting, and more seriously, incontinence of urine and feces, severe persistent asthma attacks, and symptoms such as headaches and dizziness.
