What are the early symptoms of amblyopia?

Strabismus and amblyopia in children mostly occur in children with high refractive errors. If they fail to wear appropriate glasses in time, it may occur in one or both eyes. This type of (strabismus, amblyopia) can occur in patients with hyperopia, myopia and astigmatism, especially in children with hyperopic refractive errors. The cause of strabismus and amblyopia is often due to the failure to form sufficient retinal image stimulation. If the patients are given appropriate corrective glasses, their vision will be improved to varying degrees.

The main clinical manifestations of amblyopia are:

1. Vision (including corrected vision with glasses): £0.8;

2. Have refractive error;

3. Strabismus may exist;

4. There may be abnormal fixation (generally accounting for 28.5% to 43.3% of amblyopia);

5. There is crowding or difficulty in reading. When an amblyopic eye has vision, although the size, illumination and distance of the sight mark are the same, the measured visual acuity values ​​are different due to different sight mark intervals. The sparser the interval, the higher the visual acuity, and the denser the interval, the lower the visual acuity. This is the unique clinical manifestation of amblyopia.

6. Errors in redrawing the graphics, that is, the graphics cannot be accurately redrawn or the starting and ending points of the pen cannot touch each other when redrawing.
