This is the reason why children have bad breath!

Bad breath is a common oral disease in life, and children are also prone to bad breath. Generally, there are many reasons for children's bad breath. This may be caused by indigestion in children. Parents should pay attention to their children's diet and bowel movement frequency and treat them in time.

What causes bad breath in children?

Because children's digestive organs are not fully developed, digestive juices are not secreted enough, enzymes are not functioning perfectly, the stomach and intestinal mucosa are tender, and the digestive function is relatively weak. If parents cannot feed their children properly and give them everything to eat, the quality and quantity of their diet will be inappropriate, damaging their stomach and intestines. The children will then have symptoms of indigestion (food damage), such as bloating, vomiting, loose stools with a sour and smelly smell, and a large amount of undigested food residue.

Therefore, as parents, we should pay attention to our children's diet. Not all foods are good for children, nor can we buy whatever children want to eat. We should not spoil our children. Especially in terms of diet, we should make the right choices and feed them correctly to supplement the various nutrients needed for children's development and prevent the occurrence of some diseases.

Bad breath in children is the cause

1. The most common reason for bad breath in babies is poor gastrointestinal function and indigestion. Secondly, bad breath in babies is also related to what they eat. If the baby's diet contains more meat (mainly provides fat) and dairy products (mainly provides protein) which are difficult to digest, bad breath is also likely to occur.

2. Putrefactive bad breath: mostly caused by unclean oral cavity, inflammation of oral mucosa, gums, guard, indigestion or oral granuloma, leukemia. It is caused by the decomposition of food by bacteria, which leads to necrosis of oral tissue.

3. Purulent halitosis: mostly caused by purulent diseases, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, cavitary tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, etc.

4. If the baby is sick, it will lead to poor digestive function and cause bad breath. For example, oral ulcers and thick tongue coating may cause bad breath in the baby.

5. If there is food residue in the baby's mouth, it will also cause an unpleasant odor in the mouth.

The reason why children have bad breath

1. Temporary bad breath, such as that caused by eating foods with strong odors such as onions, garlic, leeks, etc.

2. It is caused by frequent snacking that affects digestive function or gastrointestinal diseases (such as Helicobacter pylori).

3. Due to the long-term retention of food residues in the mouth, these children may also suffer from oral diseases such as caries or gingivitis.

4. Diseases such as sinusitis, bronchiectasis, and diabetes can also cause bad breath.

Children have bad breath mostly because they eat too many snacks and have irregular meals. Generally, the candies and chocolates that children like to eat are high-calorie, high-fat foods. Eating too much will affect the secretion of gastrointestinal digestive enzymes, increase the gastrointestinal load, cause digestive dysfunction, damage the spleen and stomach, and also cause the child's resistance to decrease. Therefore, in addition to bad breath, there will also be symptoms such as anorexia, constipation, and facial rash.
