Developmental standards for 11-year-old children

We all know that when a child reaches the age of 11, it is the time when the child develops the fastest. No matter it is a boy or a girl, they will develop very fast around the age of 11, especially in the development of the secondary characteristics. For girls, the breast development is the fastest at the age of 11, and for boys, the development of the genitals will also be relatively fast. So what is the development standard for a child at the age of 11?

Changes in body proportions. During physical growth, the proportions of various parts of the body change because the limbs and trunk grow out of sync. In the height spurt stage, the length of the limbs grows faster than the trunk, so the sitting height/height ratio begins to decrease, and drops to the lowest point in the middle stage. Adolescents show a body shape with long legs and short trunks. After the growth spurt, the growth rate of long bones slows down, while the growth of the spine is relatively fast, so the sitting height/height ratio gradually increases, and finally reaches the normal proportion of adults.

The development of children's height and weight is affected by many factors. Most slow growth is caused by non-disease factors, such as nutritional status and exercise. However, there are also a small number of children who suffer from certain diseases that affect their growth and development, such as growth hormone deficiency, hypothyroidism, chondrodysplasia, severe rickets, chromosomal diseases, hereditary diseases, etc.

At 11, height increases suddenly, testicles and penis begin to grow. At 12, height increases suddenly to a peak, Adam's apple appears. At 13, pubic hair, testicles and penis continue to grow. At 14, voice changes, armpit hair appears. At 15, with the first nocturnal emission, beard appears. At 16, testicles and penis have reached adult size. At 17-18, body hair approaches adult level. After 19, bones heal and growth basically stops.

Around the age of 11 is the normal period for girls' breasts to begin to develop. Generally, the earliest breast development occurs around the age of 8. The golden period of breast development is from 9 to 16 years old. Breasts generally take 3 to 5 years to develop. Breast development is affected by genetic factors, environment, and diet. There may be a feeling of swelling and pain when it starts to develop. This is normal. Don't be too nervous.
