How much do you know about the symptoms of mycoplasma tracheitis?

Pediatric bronchitis is very common among children under 1 year old, especially in winter. If children are not properly cared for, they can easily be infected with bronchitis. The most common ones are mycoplasma bronchitis, which usually develops rapidly. Early symptoms include fever and cough, and need to be treated as soon as possible.

1. Symptoms of bronchitis in children

1. It is more common in children under 1 year old, especially in infants under 6 months old.

2. The disease can occur throughout the year, but is more common in winter and spring.

3. The onset is relatively acute, with early symptoms of a cold, such as coughing and sneezing. After 1-2 days, the cough worsens, and paroxysmal dyspnea, wheezing, pale complexion, cyanosis of the lips, and the three-recess sign appear. The early lung signs are mainly wheezing, followed by moist sounds. When symptoms are severe, they may be accompanied by congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, hypoxic encephalopathy, and water and electrolyte imbalances. The body temperature generally does not exceed 38.5℃ and the course of the disease is 1-2 weeks.

4. The white blood cell count is mostly normal or slightly increased. Blood gas analysis may reveal hypoxemia and decreased or increased partial pressure of carbon dioxide in arterial blood. Chest X-rays show thickened lung texture, increased translucency of both lungs or small shadows and atelectasis. If conditions permit, rapid virus diagnosis of respiratory secretions can be performed to identify the type of virus.

2. Diet therapy for bronchitis in children

5. Continue cooking over low heat for 1 hour, then add the loofah and cook for a while.

7. Add lily, celery slices, fungus slices, and sugar, stir-fry over medium heat until well-seasoned, then thicken with water starch.

3. How to prevent bronchitis in children

To prevent bronchitis in children, we must first pay attention to the child's temperature, do not dress him too warmly, and let him have appropriate cold-resistant exercises. The temperature is high. Don’t just worry about your child being cold. What’s more important is to pay attention to not letting your child get too hot, so that their clothes won’t get soaked with sweat, making them more likely to catch a cold.

If your child has a cold, give him or her some medication as soon as possible and don't delay the treatment. Traditional Chinese pediatrics believes that children are prone to illness and the condition changes rapidly. When a child catches a cold, the results will be completely different if he or she takes the medicine an hour earlier or an hour later. Parents who have long-term contact with children should learn to observe whether their children have abnormal symptoms of colds, and take timely measures if any abnormalities are found.

If your child is sick, cure him/her right away, don't give up halfway. When a child has a fever over 39°C, the temperature should be lowered to below 38°C within 2 hours. If the temperature remains above 39°C for more than 2 hours, it will cause damage to brain cells and affect the child's intelligence. Some children develop swollen tonsils or cough (bronchitis) after catching a cold. Since they are not cured at one time, future colds will first manifest as swollen tonsils or coughs, and it is difficult to completely cure them. Over time, they will develop into chronic tonsillitis and chronic bronchitis.
