Why does a child’s stool turn black? Reasons for black stool in children

The normal stool color of a baby should be yellow or golden yellow. When there is an abnormality in the baby's intestines or the baby eats too much fat, there will be a large amount of fatty acids in the intestines that stimulate intestinal peristalsis, causing the stool to turn black. Parents do not need to worry too much. If you are worried, you can do a routine stool test for your child to see if there is any intestinal infection.

Usually, your baby must drink enough water, and you can also let your baby drink vegetable juice and fruit juice. Be careful to prevent your baby from constipation. Mothers can also use their fingers to gently massage around the baby's belly button in a clockwise direction to stimulate the baby's intestinal peristalsis. If necessary, use soap bars or enema to help your baby defecate.
