What are the symptoms of phimosis in children?

What are the symptoms of phimosis in children?

Many parents do not know how to judge whether their children have phimosis because they do not know much about it. If a child suffers from phimosis, there will usually be a small bag on the glans penis. Because the foreskin is too narrow, urine cannot be discharged normally and accumulates under the skin, and then is discharged.

1. Physiological phimosis is more common in little boys, and most of them can heal themselves. However, since the foreskin cannot be turned up and the glans penis cannot be exposed, this will also bring a series of problems. For example, because this child's foreskin cannot be turned up, the epithelial cells and secretions of the sebaceous glands that fall off the glans penis and foreskin cannot be discharged. Instead, they remain between the foreskin and the glans penis, forming smegma, which will have certain effects on the body, such as secondary infection, redness, swelling, and purulent secretions.

2. Many parents bring their children to see a doctor and mention that every time the child urinates, a small bubble will bulge out of the glans penis. This is because the foreskin opening is narrow, and the urine cannot be discharged directly through the urethra. It is first discharged into the cyst cavity between the foreskin and the glans penis, and then discharged. This will cause problems such as thin urine stream and obstructed urination, which is also one of the symptoms of phimosis in children.

3. If the child's foreskin has many nodules when viewed from the outside, this indicates that there is a possibility of infection, and parents should pay attention at this time. Also, when bathing your child, you should pay attention to the color of the child's foreskin. If it is often red and swollen, it may be infected and you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
