What should I do if my child has astigmatism? Uncovering effective countermeasures

Today's parents attach great importance to their children's eye health, but even so, due to complex reasons, some children still have astigmatism. There are many ways to solve this problem in life. When parents choose a treatment method, they should consider the child's own situation.

1. If the child has regular astigmatism that does not cause visual impairment and visual fatigue, no treatment is necessary.

2. If children have visual fatigue, no matter how large or small the astigmatism is, even if the astigmatism is very slight, they need to have their pupils dilated for refraction and wear appropriate corrective glasses. In principle, all degrees of astigmatism must be corrected, but if the child's astigmatism is too high and cannot adapt, he or she can first wear low-degree corrective glasses to slowly adapt, and then wear high-degree corrective glasses.

3. Choose a quiet place, sit or stand, relax your whole body, clear your mind, open your eyes, keep your head and neck still, and only move your eyeballs. First, gaze directly downward, then slowly move to the left, then to the top, to the right, and finally back to the bottom.

4. Disinfect the basin first, then pour in warm water, adjust the water temperature, put your face in the water, open your eyes in the water, move your eyeballs up and down, left and right 9 times each, and then rotate them clockwise and counterclockwise 9 times.

5. Sit down, relax your whole body, close your eyes, and then rub your palms together quickly to generate heat. Cover your eyes with both hands while they are still hot. After the heat dissipates, suddenly remove your hands and open your eyes at the same time. Do this 3 to 5 times. This can promote blood circulation in the eyes and enhance metabolism.

6. Choose a place with fresh air, sit or stand, relax your whole body, look straight ahead, slowly inhale enough air, open your eyes wide, pause for a moment, then slowly exhale, slowly close your eyes, do this 9 times in a row.

7. Guide your baby to develop good hygiene habits and avoid touching the eyes with hands or other items to avoid contracting eye diseases. If infected with eye diseases, try to reduce going out.

8. Guide your baby to recognize which games and toys are dangerous to reduce eye injuries.

9. Go out to the suburbs more often and see the green wilderness in the distance. Those who need to wear glasses should be examined by a doctor before getting them.

10. Parents should pay close attention and if they find any eye problems in their children, they should take their children to an ophthalmologist for examination. It is best to have the first full eye examination at the age of 3-4 years, and then have regular eye examinations 1-2 times a year.
