How to communicate better with children with autism

When interacting with autistic children, you need more patience and perseverance, let them feel the care from the outside world, play with them, take walks with them. These children will show great talents in certain aspects, so you need to observe and cultivate their interests.

1. Actively care

Children with autism are not without feelings, but they are not good at expressing themselves and do not know how to communicate with others. Therefore, we must take the initiative to care for them, communicate with them, and let the children feel your love and kindness. Parents can spend more time with their children in daily life, play and take walks with them. As long as the weather is not too bad, they can take their children out for a walk more often and say hello to others more often.

2. Careful observation

Observe your child from small things and find his or her unique expertise. Every child's situation is different. Some children are indifferent to everyone but closer to their parents; some children are resistant to everyone; some children like musical instruments although they are not talkative; some children are good at painting; and some like sports. Parents should be good at discovering their children's strengths and specialties, cultivate their interests according to their different interests and preferences, and give timely encouragement and support when their children's situation improves a little.

3. Create an atmosphere

Children with autism usually lack a sense of security, appear indifferent to everyone, hate governance and change, have few interests and are narrow-minded. Parents should create a warm and loving environment for their children, make them willing to integrate into our big family, help them get familiar with the environment in a gentle way, create a warm and peaceful environment for them, and reduce their psychological pressure.
