What to do if your baby has a birthmark on his face? Here are some tips to help you solve it

If you find a birthmark on your baby's face, you don't have to worry too much, because there are many ways to remove birthmarks. If the birthmark is small, you can also use chemical drugs to remove the mole.

Birthmarks are medically called maternal spots or moles. They are abnormal proliferation of skin tissue during development, resulting in abnormal shapes and colors on the skin surface. There are nine main types of birthmarks, including Mongolian spots, café-au-lait spots, nevus of Ota, pigmented nevus, hairy nevus, sebaceous nevus, capillary hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma, and port-wine stains.

Laser therapy

This method destroys melanocytes through selective photothermal therapy, with ideal treatment results, high success rate and relatively small side effects.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin at a temperature several thousand degrees below zero, which directly freezes the pigmented epithelium to death and causes it to fall off.

Surgery

Severe pigmented moles are at risk of becoming cancerous. Direct surgical treatment is the most effective and thorough treatment method. The pigmented mole is directly removed and then other epithelium of the body is transplanted there.

Other treatments

In addition to the above treatment methods, if you encounter a smaller pigmented nevus or a dot-shaped area, you can use chemical reagents to remove the nevus, using strong acid or strong alkali to directly burn the epithelial tissue.
