What are the dangers of obesity?

Many people of the older generation have suffered a lot, so they don’t want their next generation to suffer as well, so they will spoil their children a lot, hoping to raise them to be plump and white. In fact, being too fat is not good for a child’s body, but many friends are not aware of this problem, and they will only try their best to feed their children delicious food and buy fun things. So what are the dangers of obese children?

1. High blood lipids - obese children have significantly higher blood lipids than normal children, and dyslipidemia is a high-risk factor for atherosclerosis. Prone to hypertension - Hypertension in children refers to blood pressure higher than 110/70 mmHg in preschool children, blood pressure higher than 120/80 mmHg in school-age children, and blood pressure higher than 130/90 mmHg for those over 12 years old. Obese children are three times more likely to develop high blood pressure than non-obese children. Because obese children have larger body volumes, their total metabolic volume and oxygen consumption increase, which significantly increases the burden on the heart and causes their blood pressure to rise.

2. Hyperinsulinemia - Hyperinsulinemia is common in obese children. In order to maintain sugar metabolism, they are forced to secrete large amounts of insulin for a long time, which leads to failure of pancreatic secretion function and causes diabetes.

3. Easy to induce fatty liver - the incidence of fatty liver in severely obese children is as high as 80%. Childhood obesity is an important risk factor for inducing fatty liver. Hypertension and hyperlipidemia are dangerous signals for obese children to develop fatty liver.

4. Childhood obesity and fatty liver. Childhood fatty liver (fatty liver) is a disease caused by the liver's inability to process fat correctly and in a timely manner, causing fat to accumulate in the liver. Fat accumulation will hinder the liver from performing its normal functions, increase the burden on the liver, and cause symptoms such as hepatitis and elevated transaminase (normal value of alanine aminotransferase is less than 40u). Severe fat accumulation can cause liver cells to squeeze each other, leading to liver cell hypoxia, rupture and death, causing serious damage to the liver.

The above is an introduction to the dangers of obese children. In fact, raising children too fat is not necessarily a good thing. It will have a great impact on their health. Therefore, children also need to do some appropriate exercise, which can help children enhance their resistance and keep diseases away from themselves.
