Why is the baby thin?

Every parent hopes that their child can grow up healthy and strong, but some babies are relatively thin. There are many reasons for this phenomenon. It is directly related to genetic factors and is also inseparable from living habits. Some babies are picky eaters and have anorexia, so the phenomenon of thin babies occurs. If the baby is seriously thin, he needs to be taken to the hospital for examination. Let’s take a closer look at the reasons why your baby is thin.

Why is the baby thin?

1. Hereditary dwarfism: Family inheritance accounts for 70% of a child's height factors. Family height includes more than just the height of the parents. Many parents think that their parents themselves are not tall and give up intervening in their children's height. In fact, a child's height is also closely related to acquired factors.

2. Malnutrition: Slow growth is caused by insufficient nutrition intake for a long time, such as not loving to eat, resulting in insufficient intake of vitamin D and calcium.

3. Psychological problems: Long-term psychological depression, high study pressure, and emotional tension may affect children's height development.

4. Other factors: Lack of trace elements, exercise, sleep, irregular work and rest, hypothyroidism, intrauterine growth retardation and certain chronic diseases may all cause children to not grow tall.

How to solve this problem?

1. Maintain the baby's liver, spleen and stomach: Through physical examination, the mother can understand the baby's digestive system, spleen, stomach and other health conditions. If the condition is serious, the mother can follow the doctor's advice to take children's special medicines such as spleen and stomach strengthening and digestion aid. If a child is deficient in zinc, iron, calcium or has anemia, for severe cases, medication should be taken as directed by the doctor; for mild deficiencies, dietary supplements are recommended.

2. Rebuild the baby's desire for the dining table: Most thin babies are related to factors such as unreasonable nutritional diet structure, improper feeding methods, and bad eating habits. Quickly change the monotonous diet, try to diversify the daily food, and reasonably match cereals, meat, beans and vegetables to make the dining table lively and let your baby regain the expectation of the dining table.
