Should children's abdominal lymph nodes be treated?

Nowadays, most families have only one child, and all the parents revolve around one child. As long as the child feels uncomfortable, the parents will feel uneasy and wish they could bear the pain for the child. Some children are diagnosed with abdominal lymph node diseases, but they don’t know whether children’s abdominal lymph nodes need to be treated? Below is some introduction and treatment methods for children's abdominal lymph nodes. Parents can learn about it.

According to Western medicine, enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes in children are mainly caused by viruses entering the mesenteric lymph nodes. However, Chinese medicine believes that if a baby suffers from repeated upper respiratory tract infections and frequently uses antibiotics, these will damage the body's immune function and lead to a lack of positive energy in the body, making the baby more susceptible to infection.

1. Treatment of swollen lymph nodes in the baby's abdomen

Generally, if the abdominal or mesenteric lymph nodes are swollen and accompanied by abdominal pain, oral anti-inflammatory drugs such as cephalosporins or amoxicillin are needed. If the swelling is not severe and there are no abdominal pain symptoms, no treatment is required, but colds should be prevented and a proper diet should be taken. It will get better naturally after a period of time; or you can take some ordinary anti-inflammatory drugs or get some anti-inflammatory injections and it will get better.

But if the swelling is severe and does not heal after long-term anti-inflammatory treatment, then Chinese medicine treatment is needed: first, to prevent it from further worsening, and second, the body needs it to restore its function, exert its immune and bactericidal effects, and enhance physical fitness.

2. Precautions for baby's swollen abdominal lymph nodes

1. Pay attention to prevent colds and avoid eating raw, cold and spicy foods, eat less meat, and do not eat foods that cause bloating such as milk, bread, cakes, steamed buns, etc. Drink more water and chew slowly.

2. The general principles of diet should be low in salt, fat, high-quality low-protein, etc., and fresh vegetables and fruits should be provided. Those with anemia should supplement with iron-rich foods such as liver, offal and green vegetables, and also supplement with folic acid and vitamin B12.

There are actually many reasons for swollen abdominal lymph nodes in children. From the perspective of Western medicine, it is mainly caused by viral invasion. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is often caused by repeated upper respiratory tract infections in babies. No matter how the symptoms appear, we need to take timely measures to treat them, and parents should also try to prevent their babies from catching colds.
