In autumn, many adults will experience gastrointestinal discomfort, let alone children. Many children will have diarrhea in autumn. This is also closely related to the child’s diet. If the diet in autumn is unreasonable, it will cause diarrhea. Autumn is the time when the intestines are most likely to breed bacteria and infection. Autumn is also the time when maintenance is most necessary. So what should children eat for autumn diarrhea? 1. For infants, if the child has an appetite, he should continue to be fed. Breastfed children should still be breastfed; bottle-fed children should be fed sugar-free milk powder, or 1/2 diluted milk. 2. Children who have started to eat complementary foods can eat porridge or noodles. It is okay if the amount of stool increases after eating, because children with diarrhea can still absorb 80% of the sugar intake and 60% of the protein and fat, so continuing to feed them is beneficial to children with diarrhea. 3. If the condition is not serious and the child has not been hospitalized for injections, parents can feed their children oral rehydration saline by themselves, in small amounts and multiple times, once every 2 to 3 minutes, 10 to 20 ml each time with a spoon; this way, small amounts add up to large amounts, and dehydration can be corrected in about 4 to 6 hours. However, if the child is intolerant to oral rehydration or the diarrhea worsens, the child should be taken to the hospital to see a pediatrician and receive intravenous rehydration to avoid serious complications. 4. Children can also eat the following foods to help stop diarrhea: Carrot puree: Take an appropriate amount of fresh carrots, wash and chop them, add water and cook or steam them until they are soft. Then take out the carrots, mash them into a paste with a spoon, and then add a small amount of the water used to boil the carrots. Reserve the carrot boiling water for later use. Note: Do not add sugar to carrot puree to avoid aggravating diarrhea. When eating, add 5 to 10 grams of carrot puree to every 100 ml of carrot water on average. This method is an auxiliary treatment for diarrhea in infants and young children, and the effect is significant. If children suffer from diarrhea in autumn, they should be given more of this kind of food. In short, keeping food light is the best way to improve children's diarrhea. When improving children's diarrhea, remember to give them more water. Also consider the age of the child. If the child is too young and still has this kind of diarrhea, then you should give them more water to keep them away from the harm of dehydration. |
