How to treat chronic rhinitis in children?

Children's chronic rhinitis may be caused by a cold that caused the problem of clear nasal discharge to be not solved in time. Children's chronic rhinitis may cause headaches for our own children. Our mothers must understand how to treat children's chronic rhinitis.

1. Surgery

(1) Endoscopic sinus surgery is currently the preferred method. Under the clear vision of nasal endoscope, all sinus lesions are completely removed, the sinus ostia are fully opened, sinus drainage is improved, and normal tissue is preserved as much as possible. It is a minimally invasive surgery that preserves function as much as possible.

(2) Other surgeries include maxillary sinus fenestration, maxillary sinus radical resection, intranasal ethmoid sinus resection, external ethmoid sinus resection, frontal sinus drilling, frontal sinus incision, sphenoid sinus incision, etc.

For a patient diagnosed with chronic sinusitis, the recommended treatment procedure should be: first, drug treatment (including local and systemic application), and then perform sinus CT scan if drug treatment is ineffective. If there are imaging changes and surgical indications, then perform endoscopic sinus surgery.

2. Prepare saline solution (put two spoons of salt in a 100 ml bottle and dilute with boiling water), use a cotton ball wrapped with a toothpick and dipped in the saline solution to wash the nostrils, then leave the cotton wool in the nostrils temporarily. At this time, either tilt your head back or lie flat, press both sides of the nose with your index finger and thumb, and suck hard to allow the saline solution on the cotton ball to flow into the nasal cavity and then into the throat. At first you may feel an unbearable pungent sensation inside your nose, but you will get used to it after a few times. You can also start by washing with lighter saline and gradually increase the concentration to allow your nasal cavity to adapt slowly.

3. Sophora japonica honey can treat atrophic rhinitis

When washing your face every morning and evening, use your little finger to dip in running tap water to clean your nostrils to remove scabs and secretions in the nasal cavity. After fully exposing the nasal mucosa, use a cotton swab or finger to dip in commercially available locust flower honey and evenly apply it to the affected area of the nasal cavity.

The above methods for treating chronic rhinitis in children are very good methods summarized by some authoritative experts. Therefore, the use of nasal mucosal removal surgery can effectively help us cure the previous rhinitis problems. In addition, daily use of ephedrine to clean the nasal cavity can also effectively help us achieve anti-inflammatory effects.
