What should be the water temperature for a baby's bath?

Ordinary people may not have too many requirements for bathing, but bathing a newborn or a baby is not a simple matter, especially for some friends who are just beginning to learn how to be fathers or mothers. Often, a simple matter of bathing a child can make them anxious and overwhelmed. Children's skin is growing and developing, so they should be bathed frequently to ensure their skin is clean and hygienic. And when bathing your baby, the water temperature should be appropriate.

When bathing your baby, you should pay attention to the room temperature and water temperature. Generally, the room temperature should be kept at 26-28 degrees Celsius and the water temperature should be kept at 38-40 degrees Celsius. Every time you bathe a newborn, it should be done 1 to 2 hours before feeding to avoid spitting up. Before giving your baby a bath, you need to make some necessary preparations. First, put the clothes that need to be changed, diapers, and bath towels, washcloths, baby soap, etc. that need to be used for bathing by your side; choose a bathtub of appropriate size; adjust the temperature of the bath water to between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, and then test the water temperature with the back of your hand to make sure it is not hot; after all this is prepared, you can undress your baby and give him a bath. Don't take too long to bathe your baby, as this may cause him to catch a cold or get sick, especially when the weather is not very good.

Bathing your baby should be arranged 1 to 2 hours before feeding to avoid spitting up. It is best to use a dedicated bathtub for newborns. Brush the basin clean before bathing. If possible, rinse the bathtub with hot water to avoid leaving bacteria. When bathing, use your left arm to hold the baby's body and support the baby's head so that the baby feels safe and comfortable. Use your index finger and thumb to gently cover the baby's ears inward to prevent water from flowing into the baby's ears.

In addition, please note that the baby's skin is very delicate. You cannot use a very rough towel to bathe the baby at this time, and you cannot use too much force when wiping the baby's body, otherwise the baby's skin will be easily scratched. You should buy a soft small towel specifically for the baby, and prepare two towels for bathing the child, and change them frequently.
