What to eat for children with sinusitis

1. Weak spleen type: Children often have nasal congestion, sticky and purulent mucus, decreased sense of smell, shortness of breath and fatigue, poor appetite and abdominal distension, pale complexion, loose stools, pale tongue, thin white fur, and slow and weak pulse.

Dietary therapy: Atractylodes macrocephala, perilla leaf and pork tripe porridge. 30 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 10 grams of Perilla leaf, 100 grams of pork tripe (sliced), 2 slices of ginger, and 100 grams of japonica rice. First, boil the Atractylodes macrocephala and Perilla leaves to extract the juice, cook it into porridge with pork tripe and rice, and finally add ginger and other ingredients to take.

2. Lung Qi Deficiency and Cold Type: Children often have nasal congestion, sticky and purulent mucus, decreased sense of smell, and the nasal congestion and runny nose will worsen when exposed to wind and cold. They will also experience fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness or cough, pale tongue, thin white fur, and slow pulse.

Dietary therapy: stewed pigeon with Astragalus. 20 grams of Astragalus, 15 grams of yam, 8 red dates (pitted), and 3 slices of ginger. Remove the feathers and internal organs of the pigeon, put it into a stewing pot with the above-mentioned medicines, add appropriate amount of boiling water, simmer for 3 hours on low heat, season and eat the meat and drink the soup.

If a child develops sinusitis, you can choose a diet therapy plan. This treatment is easier for children to accept, has fewer side effects, and causes less harm to the child. If a child develops such symptoms, they must be treated promptly and thoroughly to avoid worsening of the symptoms and causing physical discomfort in the child.
