What to do if your child has violent tendencies

What to do if your child has violent tendencies

When children are young, they do not have the ability to correctly distinguish right from wrong. So most children learn from what their parents do. Some children develop violent tendencies at a young age. He is often cruel to other children. They also have a bad temper and will take a "broken jar" attitude towards things they don't like. So what should we do if our children have violent tendencies?

Most children with violent tendencies are boys, and these boys have wider faces. They even believe that children with violent tendencies have the same or similar facial features. They found that testosterone in men can increase the ratio of facial width to length. Men with relatively wide faces, that is, men with a larger facial width-to-height ratio, tend to be more aggressive. This conclusion was confirmed again by scholars in 2010, that is, the existence of violent genes.

There will definitely be many parenting experts and parents who will deny this view. After all, “human nature is good at birth”. Moreover, children will encounter many violent factors as they grow up, such as bloody and violent movies and TV shows, violent peers, or parents with violent behavior. These factors will make children unknowingly learn to use violence to solve problems and treat their friends with violence.

Having said that, the role of violent genetic genes in children's violent behavior is actually far greater than the influence of environmental factors, that is, most violent children are born violent. Although the impact of violent genes is far greater than that of environmental factors, it is undeniable that the impact of our parents is far greater than that of other people. Because we parents are our children’s first teachers, our children will imitate our every move. And if parents never try to conceal their bad behavior in front of their children, it will be easy for the children to "learn" those bad behavioral habits imperceptibly, and they will become more and more irritable and violent.

Therefore, as parents, we have the responsibility and obligation to create a better living environment for our children. No matter how angry and aggrieved we are, we should not vent it on our family members, let alone explode in front of our children.
