Is it okay for a picky eater to only drink milk powder?

Milk powder is an indispensable food for children during their infancy. It contains very high nutritional ingredients and can provide infants and young children with relatively comprehensive nutrition. However, as they grow older, drinking only milk powder cannot meet the growth needs of children. We parents should add food to our children when they are about one year old. If the baby is picky about food and only drinks milk powder, it is not allowed. Parents should help the child correct it in time.

Babies often develop bad habits of picky eating when they are infants and young children. Children's bad habits of being picky and partial in eating will affect their overall nutrition and their normal growth and development. It is correct for parents to help them correct it. But we can't act too hastily. If we use coercive measures such as coaxing, beating, or scolding, it will only cause the child to rebel, which will have the opposite effect.

1. Give them whatever they want to eat:

Children's dietary requirements are always met, which makes their tastes become more and more sophisticated and they only pick out the delicious food they like.

2. Snacks are always in your mouth:

A variety of snacks are very tempting to children. If they develop the habit of eating snacks frequently, it will lead to continuous secretion of gastrointestinal digestive juices and lack of necessary rest for the gastrointestinal tract, which may eventually cause weakened digestive function and decreased appetite.

3. Parents take care of feeding:

When the child is about one year old, parents should cultivate the habit of eating by himself, but some children are four or five years old, and adults still insist on feeding them, which affects the children's interest in eating.

4. Eating while watching TV:

This is a "common problem" among many children. The exciting pictures on TV distract children's appetite. If they are not full during the main meals, they tend to rely on snacks to supplement their appetite.

5. Not keeping track of eating time:

Letting children eat right after they fall asleep or finish playing games means that the preparation is not sufficient and the secretion of digestive juice is insufficient, which will affect the child's digestive function and easily cause picky eating.

6. Monotonous food:

Small families where young parents are the cooks are accustomed to cooking the same kind of food, or they always cook whatever the children like to eat. When the children get tired of the food, they develop picky eating habits.

7. Parents are picky eaters:

Some parents have picky eating habits themselves and are picky about food. They often say in front of their children that this is not delicious and that is not tasty. This may influence their children to learn from adults.

8. The cooking is not tasty:

Even though they bought a lot of good things, the parents’ cooking skills were not up to par, the food was tasteless or lacked variety, and the children did not like it and were not interested in it.

9. Bad atmosphere at the table:

If the parents have a bad relationship and often argue at the dinner table, the child will be nervous when eating, resulting in loss of appetite and inducing picky eating.

Picky eating and anorexia are very bad habits for children, because this habit is very detrimental to the growth and physical development of children. Recent studies have shown that babies who have severe long-term picky eating will have a very strong impact on their personality. Long-term picky eating will lead to decreased resistance, physical weakness, or excessive obesity in children.
